To Republican applause, G.O.P. Senator Bill Armstrong of Colorado proclaimed that "raising taxes in the face of a recession is a hare-brained idea."The war cry of the Democrats is still that of Barbara Mikulski: "So, let's go and get it from those who've got it." David Boaz of the Cato Institute calls this the Mikulski Principle. It is alive and well and controlling the Democrat agenda still, given this list of taxes called for by Obama or his advisers.
